Edited by: Joshua Calvert on 28/10/2003 17:34:37 I'm a big fan of the graded response & no sentries on 0.4 (and lower) jump gates but, now that lazy pk'ers have found a newer easier way to kill people with zero effort and risk, will they actually camp the gates and forsake the easy route (jump-in point camping)?
That's what I'm interested in finding out.
On a side note, I would love to see even persistent and chronic piracy in the same system (0.1 to 0.4) receive some kind of CONCORD/Faction Navy hit squad response. Perhaps it'd be triggered by number of podkills/ship deaths etc and would mean a NPC hit squad would appear which, while dangerous, would be a good fight for a good PvP'er.

One problem with that, Jash, and it's only a tiny one.
If Tank is -10.0 SR, how could he get to Empire "n00b" Space in the first place?
He's still restricted to 0.4 and below like he is now.
We also need to sort out docking/use of services related to Faction/Corporate/CONCORD SR.

The Concord Idea will have many flaws and will be abused. Many people will just wait till concord comes and decide to attack us or to go threw the gate since we will have concord on us and will be forced to leave.... and to mention how uber they might make concord, we would prolly lose our battleships to them. You know how much it sucks losing a battleship to a NPC player?
I still cannot agree about that fact that you guys still do not want to put any effort into kicking us pirates out... Look at Sarum Prime for example, PIE, they ruined the fun for me, so I left sarum prime because they kept on warping in battleships when i came to the jump in and killed a few people and their response was FAST so I left Sarum Prime. Why don't you be alittle more like pie.

CONCORD will only arrive in 0.4 after persistent and chronic piracy - we're not talking insta-jump in insta-locking here. Just a realistic presence to a long-term problem.
Also, if a system is chronically pirayted, perhaps the sec-rating could be adjusted in turn with a more obvious concord/faction navy presence?
